What We Do

Mail Maid helps you unsubscribe from unwanted email subscriptions. We only access your Gmail to scan for subscription emails and help you manage them.

What Data We Access

When you connect your Gmail account, we access:

  • Email headers: We read the "From" and "List-Unsubscribe" headers to identify subscription emails
  • Email metadata: Message IDs and sender information

We do NOT:

  • Read the content/body of your emails
  • Store your emails on our servers
  • Access your contacts, calendar, or other Google services

How We Use Your Data

We use your Gmail data solely to:

  • Scan your inbox for subscription emails
  • Display a list of subscriptions you can unsubscribe from
  • Visit unsubscribe links on your behalf when you choose to unsubscribe
  • Delete emails from senders you've chosen to unsubscribe from (optional)

Data Storage

Your Gmail data is processed in real-time and stored temporarily in your browser session only. We do not store your emails, credentials, or personal information on our servers beyond the active session (24 hours maximum).

Third-Party Services

Google Gmail API: We use Google's Gmail API to access your email data. Your use of Gmail is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Stripe: We use Stripe for payment processing. Stripe collects your payment information. We never see or store your credit card details. Stripe's use of your data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.

We Do Not Sell Your Data

Ever. We do not sell, rent, or share your email data with third parties for marketing or any other purposes. Your privacy is our priority.

Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including:

  • HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
  • Google OAuth 2.0 for secure authentication
  • Session-based data storage (no persistent databases)
  • Automatic session expiration after 24 hours

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Revoke Mail Maid's access to your Gmail at any time via your Google Account settings
  • Request deletion of any data we may have stored (contact us at mailmaid2026@gmail.com)
  • Ask questions about how we use your data

Google API Services User Data Policy

Mail Maid's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
